In the last few months Government/EU is giving big grants for installing solar panels. You should check it out. If you produce more than you need you can even get paid back from ???. electricity company.

Thank you Stelios, I'm looking forward to finding out what my third plant is called. I think my orange and red one might be a Melissa, based on its leaves smelling the same as a white one that someone identified as Melissa.

I agree with you about not pruning in full summer but actually it does seem to work with many plants, especially roses and some of the bushes, which just bounce back with new growth. I'm being careful though - I don't want to feel responsible for killing any of these lovely plants. I've even been successful transplanting some cuttings and shop-bought plants during July and AUgust, again something I wouldn't have expected. And some flowers just keep coming while others seem to have a more definite growing season.

And as soon as the weather eases up I'll be madly taking cuttings of all the ones I want for my own garden!

Hi there nice to see you guys enjoying greek life to the fullest.
Some flower identity help...first one is deffinetly a bougainvillea and 4th one is called a Bottlebrush (australian bush) which can be used as a comb

For the third one need to ask my friend he has it in his garden but will get back to you on that. Also imo it is a big nono to trim and prune in the mid of greek summer except dried-dead flowers leaves etc could be wrong though but that is what my wise gran says:P

Take care for now and keep your blogs inc! love them

Very impressed with the veggies. We've had a bumper crop of beans this year, pulling around 40 off yesterday. Our courgettes are doing well too - even have a few marrows. Tomatoes are bountiful, but still green at present. Our Potatoes are in need of lifting now as they look ready. Going to have a home grown Sunday Lunch - except for the meat that is.

It sounds like Greek Culture is very generous, unlike the UK.
